A Contest to Find a New Logo for CFA
We would like your ideas for a new logo for the Cloud Family Association.
The logo currently used for the Cloud Family Journal can’t work as the website logo.
The logo currently being used on the site is a temporary one until something satisfactory can be found.
The objective is to find a logo suitable for both the website (which can be no more than 110 pixels high) and that will also look good on the Journal cover (i.e. probably in black-and-white).

Free DNA Tests Available
We have free DNA tests available for certain Cloud lines
If you are a male descended from selected lines of William CLOUD / CLOUDE born 1621 in England who emigrated to the American Colonies and died 1702 in Pennsylvania, we would like to hear from you.
We only have participants in our DNA Project from two of William Cloude’s five sons who lived to adulthood. We really need representation from the other lines. We need participants from the lines of his other three sons (circled in red at right).
If you are descended from the patrilineal line of one of these three sons of William, we need your test in our DNA Project and can provide a free test for you.
If you are a patrilineal descendant of one of these lines, we need you:
- William CLOUD (1647 Eng-1720 PA) who married Grace WILLIS.
- Joseph CLOUD (1651 Eng-1739 PA) who married Mary GREENE.
- John CLOUD (1644 Eng-) who married Anne BEESON.
- * A patrilineal line means father to son (or male only) – this is necessary because our Project uses the Y-chromosome to create a signature for the paternal line, and only men have the Y-chromosome.
